Απάντηση από την IWC σε σχετική ερώτηση που έκανα για αν επιτρέπεται να χρησιμοποιούμε τα κουμπιά του χρονόμετρου μέσα στο νερό:
"We are delighted to hear that our Aquatimer 2008 models have caught your
attention.
As the Aquatimer Chrono-Automatic has been specifically designed,
developped and assembled as a diver's watch, the chronograph buttons as
well as the rotating bezel can be operated under water.
A watch can only be labled as a diver's watch if its water-resistance has
been tested on the basis of international standard ISO 6425 and is
water-resistant at least 10 bar. In order to do justice to the high quality
expectations of IWC watch products, IWC uses some test methods that exceed
the standard test applications. This is the case for the Aquatimer
Chrono-Automatic which is water-resistant 12 bar.
Please note that the water-resistance of a watch is not a permanent
characteristic. Seals and sealing systems in particular are subject to wear
and tear and natural ageing. Please read the operating instructions
carefully for guidance on how to look after your watch.
For further information, please take a look at the attached PDF-file
containing detailed information on water-resistance of IWC-watches or go to
our specific webpage at
