At Baselworld 2008, Seiko Watch will reveal an entirely new suite of designs for the Premier collection, with new movements and new design refinements. Premier was first launched in 2005.
The first of these new Premier watches, to be released to the market in June 2008, is a new Kinetic Direct Drive timepiece, with a retrograde day-of-the-week display. The Kinetic Direct Drive movement was first introduced in the autumn of 2007 in the Velatura collection it features hand-winding capability and a long power reserve. This new caliber is the Kinetic Direct Drive 5D44 (SRH). This model will also feature a sapphire crystal and water resistance to 100 meters.
